This is just lovely, one of my favorites of all your posts. ♥ And "Such a lovely idea, I told her...but soooooo not happening! :-)" made me laugh. I'd have tried that as a kid too. :) Happy 1/2-birthday to your girl!

These look so good!! Maybe I should celebrate my quarter birthday? Half is too far away! =D

Sooo wonderfully fun! I haven't had birthday pancakes in years. I think this charming AM treat would work well for anniversaries, too - and since my wedding anniversary is coming up next month, I might just have to put that theory to the (taste) test! :)

Thanks for posting the Birthday Pancakes. By chsnce my daughter had found a recipe not too long ago and wanted me to make them for her in October. When I seen your post I was so happy for the easy recipe of using cake mix and yours are so much prettier. Thanks for posting. Your website is one of my addictions! Always something pretty. take care, Darlene

Oh my, these look crazy delicious!! They would be perfect for a cozy Sunday breakfast.
Wonderful and Marvelous

This looks so delicious very home made and unique because even in a simple way you manage to prepare a cake to have a complete celebration.

Great! I so love it.

I like those pancakes, it turned out to be an improvised cake. I'm pretty sure kids will really love it.

This is by far the happiest pancakes cake I've ever seen! And the half birthday tradition is a great idea. I'm defiantly going to start this tradition at home :).
