So very cute! I just love it. Takes me back to my own childhood and ballet lessons :-)

sweet and pretty lamp.. love how the lamp looks now.. so romantic and shabby.. and so you, Jessica.. :-) have a great day!

Sweet shade, love it!!

LOVE it:) Such a cute idea. Thanks for sharing!

How very sweet. Now it looks like a million dollar lamp.
Thanks for the ideas

that really does look very lovely. I made ruffles in exactly the same way to decorate my birthday cake recently. It's so simple and yet looks like it's complicated. :o) I would not have thought of using them on lampshades, it's a fantastic idea!

I can't bear to get rid of some of my little girls baby clothing, so hang to it and use it in other ways. cutting up to make cushions, on display as objet d'art with a vintage hat, but my favourite was the tiny ballet tutu I bought her (totally stupid, no tiny baby wants to wear a net tutu but I couldn't resist). I popped it over a lampshade and secured with a bow and a brooch. You can see it here http://cottonrose.blogspot.com/2009/06/bit-of-decorating.html

I love your Target Tuesdays! The lamp looks fantastic. I especially like the sweet look of the shade paired with the modern simple base, perfect!

Best wishes,

What an absolutely beautiful job you did!! My nieces would go nuts over it!! : )

It's just too cute!!!!

soooo pretty!

did you see the little owl lamp in kids' decor? i think it is so cute. absolutely no place where it would fit in but i "visit" it when i'm at target. TMI!?

Simply lovely.

Ooooooh! So sweet and pretty!!

This is such a sweet little lamp...you did a really good job "dolling" it up!

The perfect vintage foofing touch for your new lamp, Jessica! Love it!

Hi Jessica! It's so pretty! You did a great job.

By the way, can you give me an idea or two on how to pluck millinery flowers off old hats? They are glued and there must be some techniques to pull them out without ruining the flowers or the whole hat :).

Thank you!

Hi Jessica, I have just discovered your blog and I love it. So glad I found you. You have a new follower.

This is just so lovely - it totally transforms the lamp!!!! Great idea!!

I'm in heaven! Not only have I a collection of old lamps (my living and dining rms are adorned with over a dozen lamps and even more clocks of sorts- hee!) and I love this idea with tulle. I have a wonderful loong sheet of it (thanks $ store). I might even ink it a pale pink, then spray my Gold Glimmer Mist on the tips.
Gotta run, ideas are brimming :)
Thanks for your constant inspiration!

I love it!!! What a great idea!!
