Jessica,
I agree, my windows are open right now to get that great scent of my huge lilacs! For me the scent is second only to Daphne...

Wow, these are beautiful~ can't wait until mine bloom!

I love the smell of lilacs as it reminds me of my childhood. I also will have a special shout out for you tomorrow on my blog!

I LOVE lilacs!! The scent is just heavenly. I wish that I could have them in our yard, but we don't have have enough sun :(

They are such beautiful colours.

Beautiful photos! It will be a while before the lilacs are in bloom here in the UK. My grandmother used to have a wonderful double white lilac in her garden.

I love lilac!!!!

I love the beauty and aroma of lilacs. Sadly, we don't have them here in TX. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Jessica, that is absolutely lovely and my favorite (We had 6 of those lilac trees where I grew up in NY). I need to find a Southern version so I can enjoy in SC! Thanks for sharing

I agree, lilacs are among my favorite flowers and it is never spring until the air is full of them. I'm out in Rochester NY and we have the Lilac Festival coming up soon, I just moved up late last summer so I can't wait to go see everything in bloom!

Do you have any tips for making the blooms last? I cut some of our lilacs to bring inside, but they barely lasted a day.

Jessica - the lilacs were my mother's favourite flower. I gave her plates and tea cups with lilacs on them. The pics are beautiful. I live in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. We have a lilac tree in our yard at our summer place.
