I found this pretty faux rose wreath at Target yesterday.
I thought the colors were so lovely and the roses were very well made - with lots of silky petals.
While I really liked the wreath, I felt that it had a little too much space between the roses (plus, I wasn't totally crazy about all the deep green leaves). Soooooooo......I decided to "fluff" it up and soften the green with a bit of pale pink tulle.
I simply wove some long lengths of tulle around the roses, filling in any areas that looked too sparse.
To finish it off, I removed the plain woven hanging loop that came with the wreath and added a length of double-faced pink satin ribbon in it's place. Now I have a very frou-frou wreath - perfect for Valentine's Day!
Happy Tuesday!
:-)

So loved your share - I'm excited about that rose wreath - and I love the "fluffing" you did to it - it makes it fuller & softer.

I had to catch my breath looking at the finished wreath, it is stunning. I'm going to steal the idea completely - hope you don't mind!
I agree, it was too gappy before, your finishing touches have made it perfect.

I like your Tuesday Target post. I especially like the rose wreath. I will have to check out my store to see if they have this wreath. I agree with you, it did need your creative touch to fluff it up.

Those folks at Target are coming up with some pretty good stuff! Your ideas to improve the wreath really did add the extra special touch, though. Very pretty!

I love what you did with the wreath. I saw it last year at Tarjay and put it back because I was spending too much already. I could kick myself now. I want to make this. Any idea where to find a wreath like this now (2011)? I think I can make it but the rose buds I have found are not the sheer kind like the ones here.
