California has some wonderful antique and flea markets. I have been known to plan my visits to coincide with them - which isn't always easy since some are only held once a month! The Long Beach Antique Market is a favorite of mine, so I was sure to make a stop there on my recent visit to CA.
As always, I searched out the prettiest, shabbiest booths first...
How lovely are the porcelain flowers on this velvet box?
A romantic crystal chandelier dripping with beads.
A pile of pretty pillows made from vintage fabrics.
I loved this old oil painting of link roses. Too bad it wouldn't fit in my carry-on luggage!
Wonderful vintage soda bottles with great graphics.
I though this little vignette was so sweet.
Tons of vintage wedding cake toppers.
A beautiful antique camisole in the prettiest shade of blue.
Long Beach is a terrific place to find crinolines and petticoats.
In every color imaginable and at very reasonable prices.
There were lots of vintage hats covered with millinery flowers.
Some fun floral tacks and enamel flower pins.
A very cool antique, aqua stove.
The Long Beach Antique Market is held on the third Sunday of each month, so if you plan to be in or around L.A., it is most definitely worth a stop!

Loving this trip you took. I visited the LB flea last year when I was down visiting my dad. Loved and found lots of great treasures. Can't wait to see what you got.

OK, I feel so dumb. I live 25 miles east of LA, and never knew about the Long Beach Antique Market. I am so glad you posted it. The Rose Bowl is so expensive, I hope Long Beach is a little more realistic! I'm writing it down on my calendar! Thanks!

That is just fabulous...You know how to shop flea markets! The stuff you can find at long beach antique market is awesome and the prices are great! I feel the Rose Bowl has dealers who just refuse to come down in price, but here they havebetter prices and some dealers are same but they offer better deals here! Just "Liked" their page on Facebook. They give some deals and coupons there. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Long-Beach-Antique-Market/28409134451
I'll try and make it next month...
