As I mentioned last week, I had the good fortune to attend the National Stationary Show in NY this year. The show is really cool - even if you're not in the market for wholesale stationary, it's a fun event to attend. There are countless booths filled with endless design inspiration - pretty note cards, wrapping papers, gifts, and ribbons galore!
I primarily went to the show because my good friend, Lisa, was debuting her new stationary line. I've mentioned Lisa many times before - she and her husband, Andrew, are the owners of one of my favorite vintage trimmings shops, Accessories of Old. Lisa, along with her business partner, Warren, have designed some very cool, vintage-themed stationary lines under the name Tjomies. Here's a look at their pretty pastel booth...
Lisa decoupaged the chairs with their business cards!
And here are some of her gorgeous vintage ribbons (available in her store).
Many of Lisa's cards utilize old family photographs.
And many are hand-embellished with real vintage ribbon and trims.
Warren is responsible for these fun designs - based on his incredible doodles!
The show was really great and I had such a wonderful time wandering the aisles and soaking up all the colors and patterns. Unfortunately, the taking of photographs is prohibited by most vendors, so I wasn't able to get more booth photos to show you. But, I thought I'd show you some of the wonderful business cards that I collected from some of my favorite designers.
I am crazy for this one by
Smock.
And I love the vintage look of this one by
Glenda Gies!
There were lots of other great vendors at the show. Two of my absolute favorites were
Tinsel Trading and
Wendy Addision. Their booth was filled with gorgeous eye candy - I just wish I could have taken pictures! :-(
On a silly note, I fell over laughing at these super funny greeting cards by
Mean Cards.
So, if you have the chance next year, check out the National Stationary Show. There is truly something for everyone!
:-)
